This GammonZone Better Backgammon Symposium match between A_Baddboy and LDC_John1956 was played on July 3, 2011 over at Safe Harbor Games in the GammonZone Room (TR10).
Unfortunately, SHG crashed on me while I was recording the video (unattended, I was back in bed at that point) and it wasn't until I converted the video for this post that I found out that over 80% of the video was just sitting on an error dialog.
For this match, only the analysis is available. Sorry!

I will be archiving the weekly GammonZone Better Backgammon Symposium matches. This match between brianlev39 and cubehead was played on May 29, 2011 over at Safe Harbor Games in the GammonZone Room (TR10).
As I am not a participant, I will not be commenting on the match itself. One thing I did disagree with this match in particular however is that a cube (a gammon at 4 was about to happen) was shipped to lengthen the Symposium. Please, don't corrupt the match and skew the analysis results with this kind of thing. If a match completes faster than expected, start another, shorter match!

Recently I was invited to play Mochy (Mochizuki Masayuki), voted the #1 Giant for 2009 in the GammonZone Better Backgammon Symposium. The symposium is an event that dates back 8 years and is now held weekly. It is just a regular match between two players but what makes it interesting is that the kibitzers can interact with the players and comment during the match. The players try to provide commentary and insight behind their moves and hopefully a good time is had by all. Winning isn't everything (as evidenced by my lack of success every time I'm invited lol), but generally the high level of play and discussion benefit the spectators.
